You can check what your house is valued at Revenue.ie

But homeowners could be surprised by the valuation put on their homes when they receive their letters from Revenue this week.

As authorities prepare to collect the new property tax, Revenue's to begin distributing tax forms to 1.8 million householders nationwide.

Yesterday, Revenue published its online guide to property values - based on the average price in the area and the age of the house.

Just input your address, type of house and year is was built and it will calculate your tax bracket. Each tax bracket is colour coded so its easier to see how each are is valued.
