Police have located a suspicious item in Belfast.

It was discovered in an alleyway in Glenbank Drive this morning.

Security alert, Glenbank Drive, Belfast. A number of homes evacuated while a suspicious item is examined. Area is closed to traffic.

Police and members of the army bomb disposal team are currently examining the item.
