Groups interested in a review of prostitution legislation in Ireland hope that similar laws to those seen in Sweden will be adopted here.
A Justice Committee will begin hearings on a review of the legislation later this afternoon, after receiving more than 850 submissions from the likes of Barnardos, the Immigrant Council of Ireland and One in Four.
Groundbreaking legislation was introduced in Sweden - which criminalised the purchase of sexual services, rather than the sale of it.
