Visiting restrictions are in place at Beaumont Hospital and St Joseph's Hospital Raheny in Dublin to contain an outbreak of Norovirus.

The hospitals are requesting only essential visits between 6 and 8pm each evening, with visitors limited to one per patient.

Children are being asked not to visit the hospitals until the restrictions are lifted.

The public is asked to avoid visits to the hospitals unless it is absolutely necessary.
