PSNI detectives are investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in Co Down overnight.

Damage was caused to the property in Loughinisland sometime between 11.00pm on Monday and 4.00am Tuesday morning.

The front door, panelling and fascia at the Loughview Cottages address were damaged by the device.

A person inside the house at the time was unhurt.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area, to contact them or Crimestopers.
