A man in his 40s has died in a house fire in west Dublin.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at Sheepmoor Gardens in Blanchardstown this morning, while two others were rescued safely.
Gardai and emergency services were called just before 9am, and the scene remains sealed off for a technical examination.
Emergency responders said they were at the scene within five minutes. They found an upstairs bedroom was fully ablaze.
Crews using breathing apparatus rescued two people from the fire while other members battled the fire and searched for a third person.
According to Gardaí, a man was found but died at the scene.
Gardaí are investigating the cause of the fire and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
