Kevin Spacey's top-rated Netflix drama House of Cards could have some British competition soon.
The online TV series is based on a BBC miniseries, which in turn was based on a novel by British politician Michael Dobbs.
He says he is now working on a new television drama with Borgen creator Adam Price in what he calls "a very major project".
The Conservative peer says the collaboration is expected to hit screens in 2014.
Lord Dobbs says he believes British political drama has not been on top form lately, but said it was by no means dead.
Meanwhile, a second season of House of Cards - which will feature 13 episodes - is currently in production.
