Property owners who have not paid their household charge are being advised that the interest and penalties due will rise by €11 on the October 1st.
This means the total amount due in October will be €127.
Anyone who pays by months end will be charged €116.
The Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) says so far over €104 million has been raised from 1 million households that have paid the charge.
Property owners who have not paid the charge are being identified through the likes of the Revenue Commissioners, the Department of Social Protection and ESB networks.
The Agency confirmed that local authorities have issued letters to over 105,000 homeowners based on the first data sharing exercise over the past number of months.
It says the Agency is nearing completion of a second data gathering exercise and first letters will be issued to those homeowners identified in this exercise in coming weeks.
The LGMA says payment of the charge and all penalties can be made online at www.householdcharge.ie, by posting an application form to PO Box 12168, Dublin 1 or at your local authority office.
