Chris O'Dowd had the last laugh when two ladies from Mayo asked him to hold up their 'Mayo for Sam' sign in New York last night.

While the proud Boyle man agreed to hold it he made a slight edit to the text before the photograph was taken.

Tara McDonnell and Corina Galvin bumped into the Roscommon man on Broadway, but before he agreed to hold up the sign, he added his own thoughts which were: "No f**kin way".
