53-year-old Deepak Abbi died in Beaumont Hospital on Tuesday after an incident in Drogheda last Thursday afternoon.
It is understood Mr. Abbi who was an architect with an office in Bessexwell Lane in Drogheda was pushed up against a wall and fell to the ground after he asked 3 teenagers to move away from his premises.

The problem starts way deeper than simply trying deal with it in a reactionary way. These types of events as highlighted by the carry on at a concert in the Phoenix Park recently seem to be on the increase and there appears to be a generation of citizens that have no sense of order and no grasp of right & wrong and the consequences of their behaviour.
/> In the short term we need to send a much stronger message than just an ASBO to those engaging in violent and destructive behaviour and this should take on many forms. Any welfare or subsidies these people receive should be restricted or ultimately withdrawn, curfews via a tagging system should be considered, get them to clean the streets, mow grass verges and do all the other tasks that seem to be getting neglected because councils can no longer afford to them.
