Members of Howth Coast Guard have rescued a dog after it became trapped on cliffs at Balscadden Beach in the Co Dublin town earlier today.
The dog had become trapped four meters above the beach. After members of the public unsuccessfully attempted to rescue the dog, the Howth Coast Guard was contacted.
Rescuers used a ladder to reach the dog. The animal was brought back down to the safety of the beach, and returned to his owner.
