Hozier’s incredible year has just taken another superb twist with the news that his hit single Take Me To Church has been nominated for the Grammy in the Song of the Year category.

The Wicklow man will compete with Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off, Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass, and Sia’s Chandelier.

Take Me To Church was recently announced as the most viral song of 2014 by music streaming site Spotify.
