Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez is having chemotherapy as he continues his "battle for life".

The country's vice-President has been updating the country after a mass at a military hospital. 

He said the President was in "good spirits".

In the last three months the only sign of Chavez has been a set of photos to prove he is still alive.
