Gardai have launched an investigation into the discovery of human remains in Limerick.
A human skull and other skeletal bones was found by workers cleaning an area off the Condell Road at around 11am this morning.
The area has been sealed off by Gardai. It is located parallel to the banks of the River Shannon.

Gardai have contacted the office of the State Pathologist. It is understood further searches of the area are planned.
