Winners of Women Mean Business Awards announced in Dublin

The CEO of CPL Resources, Anne Heraty, has been crowned the Businesswoman of the Year.

She was one of five winners at the Women Mean Business Awards in Dublin this afternoon.

Debbie Deegan of the To Russia With Love charity won the Newstalk WMB Social Entrepreneur 2014 award, while Ramona Nicholas of Cara Pharmacy won Entrepreneur of the Year.

WMB Businesswoman of the Year Anne Heraty says she is honoured to be recognised among such a group of high achievers.

Over 250 of Ireland’s top businesswomen were in Dublin today for the awards.

Now in its 8th year, the ceremony celebrates areas including empowering women, entrepreneurship and social enterprise.

The theme of this year’s awards was “Think Big - Live The Vision” - and encourageed businesswomen to think about expansion and export opportunities.

Acting CEO of InterTradeIreland, Margaret Hearty, tells us why the awards are important:
