Menopause is usually an experience that only women understand - but not anymore.
Newstalk's Henry McKean took on the Menovest Challenge: a suit that simulates symptoms of menopause.
He told Moncrieff how he got on.
"I feel hot, I feel bothered, and this particular vest I had on since about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
"There's a battery and wires attached to me, and the idea is to try and experience that hot flush.
"As we speak, my neck is really warming up - the idea is to switch it on during physical or mental stress, just so you feel even hotter.
"It's been tough".
Henry says he wore it all night, and had to stick to a strict regimen.
"The idea is to wear this all night long in bed, drink more water, have a surgery snack before bed - just to interrupt your sleep.
"Set the alarm for 3am, change my clothes, my bed clothes as well.
"Then set the alarm at 5am - that was a big struggle - and then have a ice-cold shower.
"Skip breakfast, something very difficult for me, have no coffee... just to sort of add to the brain fog.
"And I'm feeling quite a bit of brain fog now".
Henry goes through menopause .... kinda 😂

Around 70% of people will experience flushes at some point in menopause.
These are triggered by mental and physical stress, environment and lifestyle.
Night sweats also impair the quality of sleep - which triggers brain fog and fatigue the following day.
