Ed Sheeran's autobiography will be released this week and in the book the singer reveals that he spent two and a half years on the streets.
Sheeran stated that he even slept outside Buckingham Palace for a couple of nights when he was a teenager, which was the inspiration for his song 'Homeless'.
The singer also describes sleeping on the tube from five in the morning, before going to music sessions.
"I spent a week catching up on sleep on Circle Line trains," he said. "I’d go out and play a gig, wait until 5am when the Underground opened, sleep on the Circle Line until 12, go to a session – and then repeat. It wasn’t that bad.
"It’s not like I was sleeping rough on the cold streets."
A Visual Journey will be on book shelves later this week.
