Iarnrod Eireann is warning rail passengers to check timetables before travelling over Christmas.

It comes as thousands of people head home for the holidays by train.

There will be no rail services on Christmas or St. Stephens Day - including DART and Commuter services.

Today, Christmas Eve, will see some changes to schedules - with services finishing earlier than normal.
