Iarnród Éireann has announced a number of late night train services over the festive period.

DART, Dundalk and Maynooth line commuter services will run after midnight at weekends in the run-up to Christmas, and after Dublin’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Normal fare charges will apply.

The expanded schedule of services will operate as follows:

Late night Friday 12th, Saturday 13th, Friday 19th and Saturday 20th December:

00.30 & 01.30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth
00.30 & 01.30 from Connolly serving all stations to Bray
00.40 & 01.40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk
00.20 & 01.50 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth

Late night Wednesday 31st December (after New Year’s Eve concerts):

01.30 & 02.30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth
01.30 & 02.30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones
01.40 & 02.40 from Pearse serving Tara St, Connolly, and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk
01.20 & 02.50 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth
