The President of the IFA says he thought issues surrounding plans to include farm or business assets in the means-test for third level grants were put to bed.
Yesterday, the new Junior Agriculture Minister Tom Hayes said the proposals had been "dropped". But, today the Education Minister Ruairi Quinn said the plans are "still on the table".
Minister Quinn hit back at his new cabinet colleague - saying he will bring a memo to cabinet to include the assets from September of next year.
However, John Bryan says this will hit many farm families across the country.
