The President of the Irish Farmers Association is warning that farmers' children are at risk of losing out on Third Level Education.
It comes as the government confirmed yesterday that proposals to means test farmers assests are still being considered.
Education Minister Ruairí Quinn is to bring a memo to cabinet to include the assets from September of next year.
