Today has seen the James Joyce masterpiece, Ulysses, celebrated in Dublin.
'Bloomsday' saw a full Irish breakfast at the James Joyce Centre, with actors playing out scenes from the book.
There were also readings in Meeting House Square in Temple Bar.

And the former President Mary McAleese was awarded the 'UCD Ulysses Medal' at UCD this morning. It is the highest possible honour.
She was one of five people, who work in the area of justice, acknowledged for the contribution their work has made to society

Last week also saw the 21st annual Bloomsday Bike Rally take place in Dublin.

Over 150 cyclists - dressed in their finest Edwardian clothes and boater hats - took to the streets on Friday in an effort to not only celebrate the acclaimed novelist and poet, James Joyce, but also to raise some much needed funds for the Irish Youth Foundation.

It is hoped €40,000 was raised this year for the Ballybough Youth Project and Walkinstown Green Café - who work with children in disadvantaged areas.
Blooms hotel also commissioned a mural on the outside of their establishment as a tribute to Ulysses.
