Thousands of people took to the streets of Dublin city to mark Ukraine's Independence Day.
Wednesday was the 31st anniversary of the country's break from the Soviet Union - but also marked six months since the Russian invasion.
Ukrainians who have fled the invasion are marking the day with celebrations and rallies abroad.
Similar events are being held around the country - with larger gatherings in Cork, Galway and Limerick.
The Ukrainian ambassador to Ireland, Larysa Gerasko, has again thanked the Irish people.
She told The Hard Shoulder: "Our people are looking for shelter here, temporary shelter.
"And at the same time we understand that Irish people and Ireland is facing a problem and housing challenges.
"I'm deeply concerned on this situation, of course.
"And I hope that the Irish Government will manage and will find solutions in order to grant to our people - more or less - a long-term admiration, especially for women and children".
She added: "Most of Ukrainians are satisfied by the quality of their accomodation, they are very grateful to Irish people and to the Government of course.
"They feel safe here - of course, Ireland is a very safe place for sure."
