Cyclone Hudhud has hit the eastern Indian coast. The storm is causing extensive damage and has prompted the evacuation of around 350,000 people.
The cyclone, which has been classed as "very severe", brought winds of 127 miles per hour.
At least three people have been killed in Andhra Pradesh, and a further three deaths have been reported in Orissa.
Disaster relief teams are being sent to the two states which are bearing the brunt of the storm.
Meanwhile, at least 35 people have been injured in a powerful typhoon which has battered the south of Japan.
Winds of over 230 kilometres per hour and heavy rain have caused severe flooding, trees to be uprooted, and cut power to more than 60,000 homes.
