A trial has heard evidence an internet cafe owner made a 2-fingers gesture to the man he is accused of kicking to death.

Zhen Dong-Zhao of Jervis Street in Dublin denies murdering 40-year-old Noel Fegan on May 20th 2011 at e-Times internet café on Wellington Quay.

He is accused of kicking Mr. Fegan to death for not paying in full a 70 cents phone bill at the cafe.

An eyewitness at a nearby bus stop - John Nurney - told the court that the accused threw him out of the shop on to the ground and kicked him in the head and back about 5 times.

Strength of the kick

He said he thought it was over but as Noel Fegan tried to crawl away the internet cafe owner kicked him one last time in the skull so that he dropped to the ground, started vomiting and did not recover.

Asked by the prosecution about the strength of that last kick Mr. Nurney said in a game of football it would go a nice distance.

The witness claims Dong-Zhao then made an inappropriate 2-fingers gesture to the man on the ground.

The trial resumes on Monday.
