Gardai are investigating following the discovery of a man's body in east Kerry. The body of the 43-year-old was found in a house in the Rathmore area last night.

The death is currently being treated as suspicious.

Gardai from Kanturk say they are investigating "all the circumstances" surrounding the discovery. The house is located in a rural area.

The office of the State pathologist has been notified and the area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

His body was discovered at around 8pm yesterday evening.
