A woman who was struck by a garda patrol car in west Dublin this morning has died. The Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) is investigating the incident.
The pedestrian was struck by a patrol car in Clondalkin at 11:20am this morning. It happened on the Fonthill Road when the patrol car hit the female pedestrian.
The woman (75) was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where she later died.
GSOC said the incident involved a marked garda vehicle. "A team of investigators has been sent to the scene," it says.
