A Garda investigation is underway after a petrol bomb was allegedly thrown at a house in Cork City last night.

The incident occurred in the Onslow Gardens area of the city.

It's understood there were a number of children inside the house at the time, but no one was injured.

Gardaí say they attended the scene, and their inquiries are ongoing.
