An investigation is underway after reports of shots being fired through the front room window of a house in Limerick.

Gardaí are investigating the incident on Lenihan Avenue in the city at around 8.00pm on Saturday.

However no injuries were reported.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí say no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
