Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in a house in north Dublin.
His remains were discovered by a caller to his Cabra home yesterday.
At around 4pm yesterday afternoon gardaí were called to an address on Glendhu Road, off the Navan Road in Cabra.
Inside the suburban home were the remains of a man aged in his 40s.
The man was declared dead at the scene, but the State Pathologist is not expected to arrive until this morning - so the body has remained in place overnight.
A post-mortem will need to be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
A technical exam will also need to be completed.
The two storey house was sealed off yesterday and gardaí say they are examining the circumstances surrounding the death before deciding on the course of any investigation.
