Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating the deaths of two people in Counties Dublin and Limerick.
A 17 year old trainee jockey was killed after he fell from a trailer while cutting trees at a a stud farm near Bruree County Limerick.
The victim was due to celebrate his 18th birthday next week.
The young man's body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem is due to be carried out.
While in Dublin a member of the public was died when he was crushed by a digger in Skerries north Dublin at around midday today.
There was construction work being carried out in the area at the time.
