It looks like the next iPhone will be released in six weeks time.
Apple hasn’t made an official comment – but bloggers around the world are speculating that it will be on September 12th.
Gadget fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next iPhone and it looks like their wait will be shortlived.
iMore was the first to report a date of September 12th claiming it will be launched at an event that day before hitting the shops nine days later.
The Apple-oriented blog said that the claim has been made by sources who have proven accurate in the past but no official confirmation has been made as yet.
It’s expected to be called the iPhone 5 and speculators believe it will have a slightly larger screen, a smaller dock connector and technology to make it easier to shop online.
Apple sold 26 million iPhones from April to June this year which was a drop from 31.5 million sold in the previous quarter.
