Ireland is in line for an Indian summer this week – with long spells of sunshine and temperatures are high as 22C.
Today will stay mainly dry and sunny in most areas today, according to Met Éireann, although things may be a little cloudier at times near Atlantic coasts.
Things will remain dry tonight although it will be cloudier at times in parts of southwest, west and northwest with a little drizzle.
Tuesday will again see plenty of sunshine around the country, with highest temperatures of 22C.
Light to moderate winds will make it coolest along eastern and southern coasts.
The forecaster said Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will then all be dry with sunny and light easterly winds.
Temperatures will range between 17C and 21C although it will again be cooler along eastern coasts.
When it comes to next weekend, the forecaster said Saturday and Sunday will bring a “greater possibility of showers”, with temperatures dropping back to the mid to high teens.
