Israel's Defence Minister has said Ireland is “legally obligated” to take in Palestinians.
"Countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have falsely accused Israel over its actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow Gazans to enter their territory," Minister Katz said in a post to X.
"Their hypocrisy will be exposed if they refuse. Meanwhile, countries like Canada, which has a structured immigration program, have previously expressed willingness to take in residents from Gaza."
I have instructed the IDF to prepare a plan that will allow any resident of Gaza who wishes to leave to do so, to any country willing to receive them.
Hamas has used the residents of Gaza as human shields, built its terror infrastructure in the heart of the civilian population,…

The Israeli Army is now preparing plans for Palestinians to leave Gaza following Donald Trump's proposals to take over the Gaza strip.
Trump suggested during a state visit from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Palestinians should be permanently "resettled" so that the US can "take over the Gaza Strip".
He said Palestinians should not return to Gaza because it is a "guarantee that they're going to end up dying".
Ethnic cleansing
United Nations Secretary General António Gutterres said "it is essential to avoid any form of ethnic cleansing" following the proposal.
However, Trump's Press Secretary has rowed back on these comments and claimed Gazans would only be "temporarily relocated".
As a part of the recent ceasefire deal, tens of thousands of Palestinians have returned to northern Gaza.
