The Government has announced 3.8 million euro in funding for the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The aid - which will go through UN agencies and NGOs - is to respond to the ongoing humanitarian crisis there.

The funding will provide emergency food, water, healthcare and protection to millions of vulnerable people who are caught up in the long-running conflict, which has claimed millions of lives.
