Temperatures could rise as high as 25C this weekend.
The nation is basking in warm temperatures of 22C today but not only is the sunny spell set to last - it could get even hotter still.
Met Éireann is forecasting sunny spells with the occasional passing showers for Saturday.
Temperatures could peak at 24C between 3pm and 5pm in the afternoon.
Overnight, there could be some patchy drizzle.
Sunday will also be warm and generally dry with temperatures expected to reach 25C with moderate southeasterly winds.
Some light rain is expected in Munster during the day but heavy rain overnight could develop into thunderstorms.
On Monday, the hot weather will continue with highs of 23C.
A temperature of 25C is still significantly lower than the 33C temperature recorded in Dublin two years ago - the hottest day ever recorded in the capital.
Ireland's hottest ever day was in 1887 when the mercury hit 33.5C in Kilkenny.
