Pretty soon there'll be a new and luxurious way to tour around Ireland.

Belmond Ltd, which operates the famous Orient Express and Royal Scotsman lines, has announced plans to establish a luxury train route in Ireland.

The Grand Hibernian, which will begin taking passengers in 2016, will offer a range of all-inclusive tours aboard its twenty luxury carriages. Passengers can opt for two, four or six night tours, beginning at a mere €3,200.

The carriages' interior will be inspired by Georgian Dublin, in an attempt to create a 'country house party' atmosphere, and musicians and storytellers will entertain guests on-board.

Haulage and depot services will be provided by Irish Rail.
