The Irish and British defence ministers have signed a historic memorandum of understanding on security.
Simon Coveney and UK Defence Secretary Michael Fallon signed the agreement at Dublin Castle this morning.
It will allow for further deals on shared training, procurement and deployments.

The agreement follows the first ever joint deployment of Irish and British troops in a peacekeeping role in Mali two years ago.
