An Irish celebrity accused of engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl in Dublin has been given a trial date.
The man, who can't be named because of the nature of the charges, was served with a book of evidence and sent forward for trial last month.
He is accused of engaging in sexual acts with a child under the age of 17 on dates in 2010 and 2011.
He will now stand trial before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on October 9th.

The man was arrested on Valentine’s Day this year and brought before Dublin District Court on three charges of engaging in a sexual act with a child, who was under the age of 17, at two unknown locations in Dublin and one specified location in Dublin city centre on dates in 2010 and 2011.
Given the seriousness of the charges, his case was sent forward to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
He made his first appearance before the higher court this morning.
The man is on bail and, given his work requires him to travel a lot, his barrister requested an early trial date.
A jury will be sworn in on October 9th with the case due to be mentioned again in late July.
Strict reporting restrictions preventing the identification of both him and the complainant, who’s now in her late 20s, remain in place.
