An Irish celebrity has denied that anything of a sexual nature happened between him and a woman who claims they engaged in sexual acts when she was underage.

The man, who can’t be named because of the nature of the charges, also claims she only revealed her true age to him after she turned 17.

The man has pleaded not guilty to three counts of defilement, which are alleged to have taken place on various dates in 2010.

Yesterday, the now 29-year-old woman claimed she performed oral sex on him in his workplace and on two separate occasions in his house.

Having initially told him she was 18 years old, she insisted she later revealed she was only 16 years old – and she claims she came clean before any sexual activity took place.

Under cross-examination today, it was put to her that she only revealed her true age after she turned 17.

She denied that.

It was also put to her that nothing of a sexual nature ever happened in his workplace, and that she had never been in his house.

She denied those suggestions too.
