An Irish couple who were critically injured in a car crash in Devon in England last month are now said to be “out of danger” and are both in a stable condition.
Con and Elber Twomey from Meelin in north Cork lost their 18-month-old son and unborn daughter when a car crashed into them head-on at Torquay on July 6th.
They remain in Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

However a spokesperson for the hospital says their condition has been upgraded to stable.
The driver of the car that crashed into them was arrested at the scene.
But the driver subsequently was taken to hospital where he died.
