An Irish man has been found dead at a hotel on the Spanish island of Ibiza.
The 34-year-old was staying at the Hotel Tropical in the San Antonio area.
Hotel sources have confirmed the holidaymaker was Irish, although the hotel has said it will not be making any official comment.
An investigation is underway into the man's death.
A spokesman for the Guardia Civil - Spain's national police force - said: "I can confirm we are investigating the death of an Irish national at a hotel in San Antonio in Ibiza.
"The autopsy will help investigators determine the cause of death."
The alarm was raised just before 4pm on Monday when emergency responders were called to the hotel.
However the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He is said to have been staying with friends at the hotel.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
