An Irish man killed in a motorcycle crash in Canada has been named.
27-year-old Anthony McGwynne was originally from Calry in County Sligo.
He was riding a motorcycle in Vancouver when it was hit by a Honda SUV last Thursday night.
"Despite life-saving efforts by bystanders and paramedics, the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene," Vancouver Police said.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and was later taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Mr McGwynne leaves behind his parents and three siblings.
"Sadly missed by his loving family, partner, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends," his death notice reads.
Vancouver Police is asking anyone who saw the collision or has video to contact investigators.
