An Irish missionary has been shot and wounded in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She was shot twice in the shoulder after her home was attacked in the east of the country.
Maud Kells from County Tyrone has been working as a midwife in the country since 1968.
The charity she is with says thieves attacked her home, shooting her twice and injuring her shoulder.

The 76 year-old has been flown to a hospital where she is reported to be in a stable condition.
Ms Kells has worked in Africa since 1968 and was honoured with an an OBE.
