The Sun tells us that McDonalds Ireland also exported 300 million hamburgers to restaurants across Europe.

Mc Donald’s Restaurants of Ireland, which includes just 12 outlets as well as the other 69 that are franchised, had a turnover of €77.9 million in 2011 with €11.3million profit after tax.

Just under 4,000 people were employed by the chain in 2011.
