The first group of Irish soldiers that were due to fly out to Syria Golan Heights region have had to delay their deployment.
The Defence Forces says the United Nations requested a three week postponement last night due to administrative issues.
The problem relates to a difficulty in getting clearance for personnel and equipment to cross the border between Lebanon and Syria.
