Half of this year’s best actor nominations at the Golden Globes are Irish.
Cillian Murphy, Barry Keoghan and Andrew Scott have all been nominated in the ‘Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama’ category for next years awards.
The three other actors nominated for the award are Bradley Cooper, Colman Domingo and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Murphy has been nominated for his performance in Oppenheimer, Keoghan for his role in Saltburn and Scott for All of Us Strangers.
Meanwhile, Annette Bening, Cailee Spaeny, Carey Mulligan, Greta Lee, Lily Gladstone and Sandra Hüller have been nominated for best actress.
Killers of the Flower Moon, Oppenheimer and Maestro have all been nominated in the best picture category, alongside Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives and The Zone of Intent.
Bradley Cooper, Celine Song, Christopher Nolan, Greta Gerwig, Martin Scorsese and Yorgos Lanthimos have been nominated for best director.
