A County Meath student is one of 6 people undertaking the annual EU Eurotrip adventure.
James Mitchell from Headfort Grove in Kells and Aaron O'Connor from Longford have been given a number of tasks as they travel from Belfast to Dundalk and on to Brussels via Athenry with a limited budget.
They are also undertaking a number of multi-media challenges along the way. On Monday the three Eurotrip teams kicked off their trips across Europe.
Team one are Sarah Kearns from Co.Clare, and Paul Tracey from Co.Limerick while Team 2 is made up of Dublin natives, Alex Webb and Ailbhe Kelly . They were tasked with putting EU policy into practice and finding jobs in Budapest in order to demonstrate the free movement of labour policy of the EU. Both teams managed to land themselves work in Budapest.
Meanwhile in Belfast Team 3 made up of Mitchell and O'Connor were challenged with the same task closer to home. Aaron successfully landed some work with the help of a local clothes shop.
Yesterday Teams One and Two were tasked with putting the EU Schengen policy to the test - by travelling across Hungary, Slovakia, Austria in one afternoon without showing a passport.
Back on Irish soil, Team 3 travelled from Newry to Dundalk to find out more about the EU 'Peace III' programme which aims to bring border communities closer together.
James Mitchell says the tasks have been quite challenging.
