An Irish technology firm has announced a major expansion with the creation of 150 new jobs.

Workhuman, formerly known as Globoforce, is to open its newly-expanded €4m headquarters in Dublin.

With this investment, the company has fully taken over an entire block at Park West Business Park in Dublin 12.

The newly-expanded headquarters feature interactive digital walls, collaboration spaces, training, and wellness and relaxation rooms for onsite exercise classes.

While the company has said its re-brand is to capitalise on market growth.

Headquartered in Dublin and Massachusetts, it has helped some of the world's biggest organisations including LinkedIn, Procter & Gamble, Symantec, Cisco, Eaton, Baker Hughes, Intuit and The Hershey Company.

Some four million people are on the platform across 160 countries.

The new 150 roles are to be filled over the next three years in the areas of technology, finance, HR, product, eCommerce and operations.

The company has said the Dublin office is core to its product development, with its Irish-based technology teams driving and owning the design and development of cloud software creation.

Workhuman has invested more than US$60m (€52.7m) in research and development over the last five years.

The firm currently employs over 500 people globally, with 270 working in Dublin.

Business Minister Heather Humphreys added: "The investment by the company in R&D and product development at its Park West base is a further boost to Ireland's booming indigenous tech sector, and I am delighted that the Government can support its operations through Enterprise Ireland."
