An Irish firm is to create over 500 new jobs at its US hub in Georgia.

Voxpro, which provides customer and technical support, is to invest US$4m (€3.57m) in its centre of excellence.

The company manages a range of business services on behalf of its partners - including Google, Airbnb and Nest.

Established 20 years ago by co-founders Dan and Linda Kiely, and operates from three purpose built facilities in Cork.

It also has offices in Dublin and California, employing more than 1,700 people world-wide.

"North America is a critical part of our global expansion and we are excited to be a leading Irish company bringing jobs to the US," CEO Dan Kiely said.

"We've had a great welcome from the local community, and we're delighted to be partnering with Governor Nathan Deal and the Georgia Department of Economic Development on our latest expansion as we continue to scale internationally."

It is thought all the new positions will be in place by 2020.
